We are pleased to announce the launch of a new format inspired by MembTV’s ‘Warlords’, Master of Realms an Age of Empires IV esports tournament!
The fierce emperors won’t have time to rest, so they will have to conquer five distinct categories of maps. There will be WATER, HYBRID, OPEN, CLOSED and CHAOS!
Community Involvement
For the first time ever, Elite Gaming Channel is involving the Age of Empires IV community in the creation of a major event. This is thanks to all of our supporters, and especially from Kickstarter and Patreon. In fact, each category has a map chosen by the community:
– Migration the terror of the water maps, has been chosen by Braden our Map Chooser from Kickstarter.
– Moving Out, a map by Karyu that won a prize in the last map contest, has been chosen by HermesPrime, our Map Chooser from Kickstarter.
– Water Drake, a map created by our dear observer Cow, has been voted by our Patreon backers.
– Gorge, a possible Dry Arabia killer in the next time, has been voted by the community on Reddit.
– King of the Hill, 2 years since her last appearance on a S-Tier event on a standard format, has been voted by the community on Twitter.
Tournament Structure
This makes a total of up to 15 maps, with the Top 8 in the Tournament Elo going straight to the Main Event. As with The Elite Classic 2, there will be no mirrors and two chances to qualify for the Main Event, with four players per day qualifying on the 25th and 26th of May.
