Saudi esports organisation Gamers8 shook up the world of professional Starcraft world by announcing a huge $500,000 to be split between StarCraft II Main Event ($400k), Starcraft: Remastered ($50k) and Strarcraft II legends ($50k). The Main events will take place in Riyadh from July 6th 2023.
Gamers8 describes itself as the world’s esports and gaming festival. With over 300 tournaments, 11 titles and $45,000,000 in prize money, it’s hard to argue. Alongside Starcraft, Gamers8 have already announced that RainbowSix, Fortnite, CS:GO and Rocket League will be featured.
On 16th April, Gamers Without Borders announced that ShoWTimE, Clem, HeRoMaRinE, Oliveira, Spirit, Elazer, Reynor and Serral had qualified through their international qualifiers. Classic, Creator, herO, ByuN, Cure, Maru, Dark and Solar qualified through the Korean qualifiers.
